Scraping drum feeder t-475
The scraping drum-type feeder is used in drying units and employed in discharging bins to insure sealing of drying drums and cyclones.
It prevents gases from escaping through a bottom discharge outlet of drying and dust-separating systems. When discharged, coal is dewatered to 5% ...12% moisture content, and par ticles are sized within 40 mm.
Design and Operation
A rotor runs in the swing bearings inside the feeder housing. Scrapers of the rotor revolve about the stationary cylindrical drum and remove the dewatered material into the discharge opening of the feeder housing.The rotor is actuated by a drive comprising of electromotor, gear box and couplings.
Features:
- The rotor has two output ends - this feature allows the feeder to be ftted with a drive at either side (depending on dr yer' designs);
- Rotor scrapers are faced wear-resistant;
- Gearings are set apart from the case. Additional seals are used in connections of the gearings and case;
- The safety clutch is used.
