This hydraulic equipment has been developed for mining underground operations to lift, handle and pull bulky loads, including roof support sections of up to 36 mt in weight, along the inclined up to +30œ mine workings.
A DPL-120 type suspended diesel-powered locomotive is used as a tractor to move the equipment and a power supply to lift loads.

This equipment comprises two hoisting girders connected with a tie rod. The length of the tie rod can vary depending on dimensions of cargoes and loads and be stated in customer's orders.
Each hoisting girder is hinged on two arms, each of which, in its turn, is suspended by two carriages from the overhead monorail.
The hoisting girder is a welded box-shaped structure. Inside there is a hydraulic cylinder with two sprockets fixed to the piston rod end. A load is lifted with each hoisting girders by means of two chains with one end rigidly fixed to the girder frame and the other end going around the sprockets and attached to the horizontal frame which has places for hooks to grip loads.
Manipulating and handling operations are controlled from a control console unit which is hanged up to the towing bar providing connection of the UPGYU hoist to a locomotive or any other tractive elements. The hoisting girder can perform its operations individually.
