Heat and power generation

LLC Yurginsky machine engineering plant is a self-sustaining company. It generates electricity and produces heating not only for internal consumption but provides the town with both and sells to the outside market.

Energy is a basement of any manufacture. Accordingly the proper operation of any and all divisions of the company rely on the proper energy service administration that results in the long run in products the company manufactures, their good quality and prices.

The company's own energy resources (we buy only coal and gas) allow manufacturing its products at lower prices making the products more attractive for customers.

The company's energy complex includes a heat and electricity generating plant, workshop ? 30 producing oxygen, acetylene, compressed air and drinking water, electric workshop ? 66 for maintenance and repairing electric equipment of the whole company, workshop ? 54 for repairing metallurgical furnaces, and workshop ? 48 for recycling industrial wastes.

Our town and our company are a single entity in terms of energy. The town accounts for about half of the electricity generated by the plant. Heat in the form of steam is mainly used in the company's metallurgical production.

Energy management policy is built up allowing for implementing company's strategy to expand production operations. There are some successfully running energy saving programs and initiatives to optimize energy consumption and hence to decrease costs of manufactured products.

Annual retail sales of electricity equivalent to 10 mln kWph to ultimate customers. Today we investigate a feasibility of energy trading in the wholesale energy market. The total energy fiscal metering system has been put into operation by the plant's power engineers.

The team of the energy service in the company accounts for about 900 people.

It is hard to overestimate the job performed by the energy division staff- without it nobody can exist: neither production nor town.
